The simplicity of the exterior facade is compensated by the richly decorated interior of the synagogue, which is so magnificent and opulent that Jews from Los Angeles unsuccessfully attempted to acquire and transport it to the United States as the most beautiful functioning synagogue in Slovakia at the end of the 20th century.<\/p>\n<p>Its lavishly decorated interiors with fully preserved inventory are among the most attractive examples of Jewish cultural heritage. Currently, it is used as a place of worship and attracts many visitors, especially with its museum, which houses the permanent exhibition of the Museum of Jewish Culture featuring the Bark\u00e1ny Collection of Judaica.<\/p>\n<p>The first Jewish museum in Pre\u0161ov was opened to the public in 1931 and is also one of the first Jewish cultural museums in Slovakia. It is accessible to visitors seeking an exceptional experience every day from Tuesday to Sunday.<span class=\"Apple-converted-space\">
