Currently, it offers guided tours through the individual structures where rare salt was once extracted, stored, and processed. The layers of this precious salt were formed by the evaporation of saltwater from marine lagoons during the Tertiary period.<span class=\"Apple-converted-space\"> <\/span><\/p>\n<p>The central building is the Solivar Museum, a monumental structure that formerly functioned as a salt warehouse. Today, it houses a diverse exhibition of models and artifacts that vividly portray the historical environment. Other buildings included in the guided tour are the g\u00e1p\u013ea building (the largest and oldest in Central Europe), the reservoirs (\u010deterne), the boiling room, and the pounding house.<\/p>\n<p>The Solivar Museum is one of the most beautiful museums in Slovakia and a unique attraction that draws tourists from all over the country. The tour of the entire complex, accompanied by captivating and informative explanations, is accessible to individuals, families with children, students, and
