Slovak Paradise National Park

Slovak Paradise National Park is one of the nine national parks in Slovakia and thrives with rich flora and fauna It is considered one of the most beautiful natural areas in Slovakia, offering a multitude of tourist experiences such as canyons, waterfalls, and viewpoints. The highest point in the national park is Predná hoľa, and the most famous gorges include Suchá Belá, Piecky, and Kyseľ with numerous waterfalls. Popular and sought-after locations in Slovak Paradise include Zejmarská Roklina, Stratenský Canyon, Prielom Hornádu, and the water reservoir Palcmanská Maša. Noteworthy are also the caves, with the most interesting being Dobšiná Ice Cave, the largest ice cave in Slovakia.

Spiš Castle

With an area exceeding 4 hectares, Spiš Castle is considered one of the largest castle complexes in Central Europe. The castle dominates the wider area along the main road connecting the Spiš and Šariš regions. The main preserved buildings are located in the upper castle, featuring an interesting Renaissance arcade corridor leading to the Gothic chapel of St. Elisabeth of Hungary. The castle’s exhibition spaces also offer access to period interiors, including the torture chamber, medieval kitchen, bedroom, and armory.

Spiš Jerusalem

Spiš Jerusalem is a unique landscape concept and urban-architectural complex consisting of thirteen separate sacred buildings and two now non-existent locations. It represents an imaginary replica of Jerusalem and is likely the oldest known calvary of its kind in Slovakia.

Church of the Holy Spirit in Žehra

The Church of the Holy Spirit in Žehra is a Late Romanesque building from the second half of the 13th century. It houses unique Gothic wall paintings that depict a comprehensive iconographic program, with the most famous scene being the Tree of Life. The church also features an interesting stone baptismal font. The church has been declared a national cultural monument and has been listed as part of the UNESCO World Heritage site of Levoča, Spiš Castle, and the surrounding monuments since 1993.
